Electronic commerce exchange
Electronic commerce exchange (ECX) allows you to receive electronic data files in a specific format and import the information contained in these files into your system as usable records. With the built in ECX functionality offered by Accentis Enterprise, you can also choose to export records from your system to an electronic data file that can then be given to others to import into their system
- ECX functionality allows quick and simple sharing of data between Accentis Enterprise systems
- Data can be exported and imported via built-in ECX functionality
- A simple two-step process means that only specific data needs be imported
- A complete list of all data imported via the ECX function can be viewed on demand. This data can then be reimported if required

This is the list of all data records acquired by the ECX function.
To acquire records from an electronic data file and have them appear in this list, choose the "Acquire records from an electronic commerce exchange file" option from the Special menu.
Records appearing blue in the list are those records which are yet to be imported into Accentis, Enterprise while records appearing green are those that have already been imported.
When you want to import records from this list into Accentis Enterprise, ensure that the records you wish to import are selected in the list before proceeding.
ECX records that have an input type of Purchase Order can be multi-selected. You can use the SHIFT key to select a range of records, or the CTRL key to select individual records outside of the range.

When you have decided which records you wish to have imported into Accentis Enterprise, ensure they are selected in the ECX record details list and click the Import selected record button.
For each selected record, the appropriate form will be shown with the details of the ECX record filled in. It is then up to the user to check the record and update it. Once you click the Update button on the shown form, it will disappear and the process will be repeated for the next selected record. Clicking update also flags the record in the list as having been imported, meaning that it will no longer appear as green rather than blue in the ECX record details list.
